Dr. Siddharth Jhunjhunwala

Dr. Siddharth Jhunjhunwala is an Associate Professor at the Centre for BioSystems Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. He received his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh and completed postdoctoral training at Boston Children’s Hospital and MIT in the laboratories of Daniel G. Anderson and Robert S. Langer. His research focuses on developing biomimetic and synthetic formulations for immune modulation, with applications in transplantation, autoimmunity, and oncology.
He is a recipient of several prestigious awards and fellowships, including the DBT-Wellcome India Alliance Intermediate Fellowship, the Ramanujan Fellowship (SERB, DST), and the R.I. Mazumdar Young Investigator Position at IISc. He was also honored with the Prof. Priti Shankar Teaching Award for Assistant Professors.
