Prof. Anurag Garg
Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay
Prof. Anurag Garg holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, along with an M.E. in Chemical Engineering (Industrial Pollution Abatement) and a B.E. in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee. His areas of expertise include municipal solid waste management, industrial wastewater treatment, energy recovery from waste, sludge valorisation, composting of food waste, and advanced treatment processes such as wet oxidation and hydrothermal technologies.
He has authored several research articles in reputed journals and conferences and contributes actively as an expert member on committees for municipal solid waste management and industrial wastewater pollution. Over the years, he has been recognized with several honors, including the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Technologies for Sustainable Waste Management (2013) and the Nawab Zain Yar Jung Bahadur Memorial Prize by the Institution of Engineers (India) for his impactful research.
